The Trawsgoed Estate has some 2 miles of single (south) bank fishing on the River Ystwyth between Trawsgoed Bridge and Llanafan Bridge. While this fishing is let to a local angling association, we have reserved rods which can be available to those taking accommodation or simply wishing to fish the river.
We also have fishing on the River Teifi at Dolbeudiau and Ty-gwyn, near Pontrhydfendigaid. The Teifi here is narrow and very clear and there are wild brown trout which can be caught on the fly. This stretch of the Teifi was once described as 'the Welsh Test' due to the clarity and quality of its water.
The estate also has several upland lakes holding brown trout, one at the Teifi Pools is stocked, while two in the Tywi Forest area have wild brownies.
